Chief Nursing Officer - Inpatient Rehab

About the role

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is a senior member of the hospital leadership team, actively participating in the oversight and establishment of best practices and standards for hospital clinical services. The CNO manages the nursing teams to provide the highest quality of care and service for patients, coordinates nursing with other patient care and support functions to assure optimum delivery of healthcare, and provides leadership and guidance in establishing standards for nursing and other clinical services.

Responsibilities

• Steer progressive clinical excellence through staff development
• Share responsibility for employee engagement, recruitment, and retention
• Provide nursing care to patients with acute medical conditions
• Actively assign nursing personnel, serve as a resource person and consultant
• Implement company standards of care, policies, and procedures
• Ensure all regulatory requirements are met
• Create and implement schedules for safe staffing
• Work collaboratively with hospital leadership and other departments to achieve the best patient outcomes

Requirements

• BSN required
• MSN or equivalent Master's in Healthcare or enrollment in a Master's program required
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required
• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience required
• 3 or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity required
• Certified BLS completed on date of hire required
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of RN experience in rehabilitation nursing preferred
• CRRN required when eligible

Pay

$125,000 - $140,000 based on experience, plus an annual bonus incentive.
