About the role

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) serves as a mentor to the nursing team and plays a key role in developing and growing their staff. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a mentor to the nursing team and play a key role in developing and growing their staff.
  • Participate in the oversight and establishment of best practices and standards for hospital clinical services.
  • Manage the nursing teams to ensure the provision of the highest quality of care and service for the patients.
  • Coordinate nursing with other patient care and support functions to assure optimum delivery of health care.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in establishing standards for nursing and other clinical services under his/her jurisdiction.
  • Steer progressive clinical excellence through staff development.
  • Share responsibility for employee engagement, recruitment and retention.
  • Provide nursing care to patients with acute medical conditions.
  • Actively assign nursing personnel, serve as a resource person and consultant.
  • Implement company standards of care, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Create and implement schedule for safe staffing.
  • Work collaboratively with hospital leadership and other departments in order to achieve the best patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master's degree in Healthcare or enrollment in a Masters program required.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  • 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience required.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity required.
  • Certified BLS completed on date of hire required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 6 months of hire.
  • Three of these years of RN experience in rehabilitation nursing preferred.
  • Certified Registered Nurse Aide (RN) required when eligible.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Certified BLS completed on date of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 6 months of hire.
  • Preferred experience in rehabilitation nursing.
  • Certified Registered Nurse Aide (RN) required when eligible.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Experience in managing nursing teams.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to coordinate with other patient care and support functions.

Benefits

This position qualifies for our Loan Repayment Assistance program- full-time employees are eligible after their first 90 days.

Pay

$135,000 - $155,000
