Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing and clinical support services
- Oversee Education, Nursing, Clinical Dietitian, Dialysis, and Respiratory departments
- Manage 8 direct reports including Nurse Manager, Nurse Supervisors, Educator, Dietitian, Scheduler, Lead Respiratory Therapist, Dialysis Manager, and overall nursing staff
- Drive nursing quality, patient safety, regulatory readiness (TJC window currently open), and clinical outcomes
- Lead process improvement initiatives, implement sustainable practices, and engage the team in continuous improvement
- Maintain appropriate staffing ratios (target 1:6, up to 1:8) and support core staffing development
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team on hospital operations, census management (current ADC ~26–29 against budget of 31), and performance goals
- Ensure compliance, staff development, and a positive, accountable nursing culture
- Serve on the senior leadership team and participate in administrative on-call rotation
Requirements
- BSN and Master’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a hospital environment
- Minimum 2 years of nursing management experience
- Strong preference for acute care hospital experience with acute inpatient rehabilitation focus (no SNF, long-term care/nursing facility, or behavioral health; LTACH experience potentially relevant)
- Proven ability to lead process improvement, implement change, and sustain results
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary clinical teams and driving nursing quality/outcomes
- Demonstrated success in regulatory readiness and staff engagement
Pay
$135,000 - $150,000 per year
