About the role
The Chief Nursing Officer at Inova Specialty Hospital Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH) oversees the clinical operations and leads a highly skilled clinical team. The position requires collaboration with the CEO and HR leader to enhance both the employee and patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CEO and HR leader to tackle problems and improve the patient and employee experience.
- Lead the clinical team and engage with regional leaders on staffing initiatives.
- Develop and implement educational programs for new graduates and re-entry nurses.
- Resolve staffing ratios and work with senior nursing staff to improve the quality of care.
- Treat others as they would like to be treated and foster a supportive and engaging culture for employees.
- Ensure fiscal responsibility by managing budgets and controlling costs within the hospital.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Masters in Healthcare or equivalent Masters in Healthcare or enrollment in a Master's program required.
- Three to five years of hospital nursing experience required.
- Three or more years' experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
Qualifications
- Experience with ventilators, hemodynamics, critical drips, endotracheal tubes, and wounds is preferred.
