About the role

River Place Behavioral Health is a 104-bed acute psychiatric hospital serving adolescents and adults across the greater New Orleans region. Located in LaPlace, Louisiana, our hospital provides state-of-the-art, evidence-based behavioral healthcare in a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive nursing strategy and operational excellence across all clinical services
  • Mentor and develop nursing leaders and high-performing teams
  • Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and regulatory standards
  • Oversee staffing, workforce planning, and budget management
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary treatment teams
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and champion quality improvement initiatives
  • Influence organizational strategy and executive decision-making

Requirements

  • Absolutely necessary: Active RN license (Louisiana or eligible for endorsement)
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10+ years of nursing experience
  • Minimum 6 years of registered nursing experience
  • Behavioral health leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Prior CNO or Director of Nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum two years behavioral health nursing experience in an inpatient setting
  • Minimum three years of progressive nursing management or administrative leadership experience
