About the role
River Place Behavioral Health is a 104-bed acute psychiatric hospital serving adolescents and adults across the greater New Orleans region. Located in LaPlace, Louisiana, our hospital provides state-of-the-art, evidence-based behavioral healthcare in a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive nursing strategy and operational excellence across all clinical services
- Mentor and develop nursing leaders and high-performing teams
- Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and regulatory standards
- Oversee staffing, workforce planning, and budget management
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary treatment teams
- Monitor clinical outcomes and champion quality improvement initiatives
- Influence organizational strategy and executive decision-making
Requirements
- Absolutely necessary: Active RN license (Louisiana or eligible for endorsement)
- Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10+ years of nursing experience
- Minimum 6 years of registered nursing experience
- Behavioral health leadership experience strongly preferred
- Prior CNO or Director of Nursing experience strongly preferred
- Minimum two years behavioral health nursing experience in an inpatient setting
- Minimum three years of progressive nursing management or administrative leadership experience
