About the role
The Chief Nursing Officer at Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH) is a valued employee who will champion the Select Medical Way. This includes putting the patient first, improving quality of life in the community, exploring new ideas, and providing high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CEO and Human Resources leader to solve problems and enhance the employee and patient experience.
- Lead the clinical team and engage with regional leaders on staffing initiatives, including educational programs for new graduates and re-entry nurses.
- Resolve staffing ratios and work with senior nursing staff to improve the quality of care.
- Treat others as they would like to be treated and foster a supportive and engaging culture for employees.
- Ensure budgets are met and costs are controlled within the hospital.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Masters in Healthcare or enrollment in a Master's program required (MSN or equivalent).
- Three to five years of hospital nursing experience required.
- Three or more years' experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required within six months of hire.
Qualifications
- Having experience with ventilators, hemodynamics, critical drips, endotracheal tubes, and wounds is preferred.
