About the role
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for leading Secure Engage's global marketing strategy, driving demand generation, brand awareness, and thought leadership in the compliance, legaltech, and cybersecurity space.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead Secure Engage’s global marketing strategy, focusing on demand generation, brand awareness, and thought leadership in the compliance, legaltech, and cybersecurity space
- Build a strong digital and content marketing engine, with clear messaging tailored to CCOs, CISOs, GCs, and regulatory stakeholders in financial institutions and HRHT sectors
- Develop a differentiated brand narrative that communicates Secure Engage’s value in helping organizations meet regulatory expectations (OSFI, OCC, DORA)
- Oversee social media strategy (especially LinkedIn), SEO, PR, paid acquisition, events, and partnerships
- Partner closely with Sales and Customer Success to ensure tight GTM alignment and pipeline acceleration
- Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team as the company scales
- Track KPIs (CAC, MQLs, ROAS, etc.) and ensure measurable impact across all channels
Requirements
- 10+ years of marketing experience with at least 3+ years as a senior marketing leader in a B2B SaaS or compliance/cybersecurity-focused company
- Proven ability to build and execute GTM strategy for early-stage or scaling startups
- Deep understanding of content-driven, digital-first marketing with experience using HubSpot or equivalent tools
- Comfortable operating across strategy and execution in a fast-paced, lean startup environment
- Exceptional storytelling, positioning, and messaging skills
- Experience marketing to regulated industries (banking, legal, fintech, insurance) is a major asset
- Familiarity with AI, cybersecurity, or compliance-related technology is strongly preferred
