About the role
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will lead the IT organization and technology agenda to develop a business-oriented culture. They will also serve as a trusted advisor and collaborate with other executives and business unit leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs.
Responsibilities
- Set the mission and vision of the IT organization and technology agenda to develop a business-oriented culture.
- Lead the development and architecture of the digital IT strategy and roadmap; ensure its integration with the enterprise's strategic planning process, and the resulting business strategy and plans.
- Act as a trusted advisor and collaborate with other executives and business unit leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and respond with agility to changing business priorities.
- Participate in the assessment of external digital opportunities and threats, and internal technology capabilities required to achieve desired competitive positioning.
- Stay current on new technologies and platforms. Provide direction on which emerging technologies should be assessed, adopted and integrated into the enterprise to ensure IT capabilities respond to the needs of the enterprise's business strategy.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation and support of IT systems and programs that fulfill the needs of the business, including enterprise architecture management, application management, cyber security and disaster recovery, and infrastructure and operations support management.
- Develop and control annual operating and capital expenditure budget for IT to ensure it is consistent with overall strategic objectives of the enterprise and is within plan.
- Propose, develop and complete strategies for cost efficiency and optimization.
- Work with HR and the IT leadership team to develop an IT "people strategy" that aligns with the business and IT strategy. Both teams work together to continually look for groundbreaking and innovative solutions for the recruitment, development and retention of the IT workforce.
- Develop and control annual operating and capital expenditure budget for IT to ensure it is consistent with overall strategic objectives of the enterprise and is within plan.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of IT experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with demonstrable leadership within ERP, manufacturing automation, supply chain, external vendor environments and strong financial acumen.
- 15+ years progressive IT leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience in IT organization design and development.
- Experience in strategic business / technology roadmap development, architecture, multi-year program delivery and organizational change.
- Experience in developing modern engagement solutions and demonstrating business value inherent within data and the relevant analytics for return on investment.
- Transformation experience in complex and dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technology transformation initiatives in complex and dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performance teams.
- Collaborating and Influencing: Promotes collaboration and partnership among multiple parties inside the organization. Ability to make process changes to existing ways of working to significantly improve results. Proactively raises quality and productivity through efficiencies and by implementing best-in-class solutions.

Pay
$241,500.00 - $359,000.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
