Beacon Hill is seeking a hands-on, strategic finance executive to serve as the senior financial leader responsible for overseeing the organization's finance, accounting, treasury, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and strategic financial planning functions.

About the Role

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will partner closely with executive leadership to provide financial visibility, guide business decisions, and support profitable, sustainable growth. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, operational finance discipline, leadership presence, and the ability to build scalable financial infrastructure in a growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy and Executive Leadership
    • Partner with the CEO, President, ownership, and/or senior leadership team to develop and execute the organization's financial strategy.
    • Provide financial insight and recommendations that support growth, profitability, capital allocation, and long-term planning.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on financial performance, business risks, investment opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
    • Lead the finance and accounting function with a focus on accuracy, accountability, scalability, and business partnership.
  • Accounting, Reporting, and Controls
    • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and related processes.
    • Ensure timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial statements, management reports, and operational dashboards.
    • Develop, maintain, and enhance internal controls, policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
    • Coordinate external audit, tax, banking, insurance, and other professional service relationships as needed.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Planning
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, recurring forecasts, cash flow projections, and long-range financial planning.
    • Build and maintain financial models that provide visibility into revenue, margin, operating expense, working capital, and profitability trends.
    • Analyze financial and operational performance to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
    • Partner with department leaders to improve financial discipline, reporting accuracy, and business decision-making.
  • Cash Flow, Treasury, and Risk Management
    • Oversee cash management, banking relationships, debt compliance, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization.
    • Evaluate capital structure, financing needs, investment priorities, and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor insurance, legal, tax, and compliance matters in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure appropriate controls and reporting mechanisms are in place to protect company assets.
  • Leadership, Team Development, and Systems
    • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
    • Improve financial systems, processes, reporting tools, and automation to support scalability and operational efficiency.
    • Create a culture of accountability, service, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance organization.
    • Provide clear leadership, coaching, and performance expectations to direct and indirect reports.

Requirements

  • Required Experience
    • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including senior finance leadership responsibility.
    • Demonstrated experience overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and internal controls.
    • Strong GAAP knowledge and technical accounting foundation, with the ability to balance strategic leadership and hands-on execution.
    • Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and translate financial information into actionable business recommendations.
    • Experience leading, developing, and scaling finance and accounting teams.
  • Preferred Background
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; CPA, CMA, MBA, or advanced degree preferred.
    • Experience in a growth-oriented, privately held, family-owned, or multi-entity organization.
    • Prior experience supporting operational improvements, banking relationships, or capital planning.

  • Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, cash flow management, and financial discipline across the organization.
  • Assess and develop the finance and accounting team, including structure, responsibilities, and succession planning.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance that supports profitability, operational improvement, growth, and long-term value creation.
