About the role
The CEO role at Select Specialty Hospital Nashville West is an excellent opportunity to provide hands-on hospital operations management in a critical care environment. The CEO will lead and provide compassionate, excellent treatment and leadership, focusing on business development, exceptional quality patient care, and fiscal accountability.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex situations and execute decisions effectively.
- Communicate with patients, families, and staff during daily rounds on the nursing floor.
- Ensure hospital's overall compliance with State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
- Foster employee engagement and personally create, cultivate, and own a Top 10 Key Business Development Relationship list.
- Implement and understand the Corporate Case Management and PPS Model.
- Prepare an Annual Operating Budget, a 3-year Capital Budget, and a Strategic Plan, which are then presented and approved by the Governing Board.
- Maintain a high ethical standard, behaving professionally and ethically, adhering to all policies and standards.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree Required.
- Three (3) years leadership experience in healthcare.
- Three (3) years management functions of finance, strategic planning, and community education of health programs.
- Three (3) years operations experience in an acute care or specialty hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will display high personal integrity, positivity, and the ability to operate effectively under pressure. They must be a hands-on self-starter capable of assuming broad responsibility in a dynamic, challenging healthcare environment.
