About the role
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Great Falls Clinic Hospital leads the strategic and operational excellence of the Hospital/Market. Reporting to the Surgery Partners COO/SVP, the CEO collaborates with lead physicians to drive physician recruitment, service line development, and market growth.
Essential Duties And Job Responsibilities
Team Leadership – Oversee operational leaders of the Practice, the Hospital, and functional leaders in Finance, Business Development, etc. Build a culture of teamwork and performance, and develop professional growth for the team.
Market Growth – Develop and execute the strategic plan for regional expansion, including physician recruitment, on-the-ground marketing, and business development.
Operational Excellence – Ensure all parts of the organization operate efficiently, lead company-wide operational excellence initiatives, and identify and drive operational opportunities across the market.
Board and Management Company Administration and Support – Support the operations and administration of the Board of Directors and Surgery Partners, maintaining open and effective communication.
Medical Staff Partner and Liaison – Partner with physician leadership, facilitate relationships, recognize the importance of the medical staff, and engage them accordingly.
Strategic Planning and Execution – Stay current with industry and market conditions, develop short-term and long-term strategic plans, and collaborate with physician leadership and Surgery Partners.
Financial Management – Recommend yearly budgets for Board and Management Company approval, ensure prudent management of resources, and optimize revenue cycle, billing, and collections.
Community and Partner Relations – Manage health system partnerships, present the organization's mission, programs, and essential services in a positive light, and ensure collaborative and fair partnerships.
Human Resources Management – Organize functions of the organization through appropriate delegation, ensure effective management of human resources, and complete annual evaluations for direct reports.
Facilities Management – Oversee preservation of capital investments, manage construction and facility rehabilitation activities, and ensure disaster and emergency preparedness.
Compliance – Ensure the organization complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Delivery of Healthcare Services – Have overall responsibility for promoting, delivering, managing risk, and ensuring quality of healthcare programs and services provided to the community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree strongly preferred (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Business Administration).
- Minimum of eight (8) years of directly related experience with healthcare facilities and/or Group Practice of similar size and structure.
- Experience partnering with physicians and/or leading physician-led platforms.
- Experience developing and motivating staff, and understanding of human resources management and employment law.
- Financial acumen, computer proficiency, and data analysis experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and overseeing large budgets.
- Proven ability to create effective working relationships with physicians, staff, Board members, health system partners, and the community.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and complex organizational management skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to address and shift priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a stressful environment.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, and the ability to speak to large and diverse groups.
- Experience with orthopedics preferred.
- Must present a professional appearance, providing a positive image of the organization to the public.
- Regular in-person attendance in market and the ability to work long hours is required.
- Maintain confidentiality concerning patient personal, financial, and medical information.
