You are confident in your technical and leadership capabilities, able to set a technical vision and lead a team to execute against it, willing to continue learning new technologies as mission needs evolve, and desire to work on-site in Colorado Springs, CO, side-by-side with our teammates and customers.
Provide direct support
Direct support to the USSF Materiel Leader responsible for acquisitions. Lead analyses and trades to help inform government architectural & financial decisions. Create and brief clear & comprehensible summaries of your work & COA assessments to O-6+ level leadership.
Technical Leadership and Guidance
Provide technical leadership and guidance to acquisitions through all phases of the life cycle from initial concept development, mission engineering, and source selection through development and transition to operations & sustainment. Lead the development and maintenance of a complete technical baseline (requirements, ICDs, etc.) that will serve as the foundation of these acquisitions and integration between systems.
Team Management and Mentorship
Lead the team of engineers to provide the support described above. Manage and mentor your team of engineers to help them grow in their careers while providing optimal support to the customer.
Experience
- Experience in design, development, analysis, or acquisition of entire space systems, including subcomponents
- Experience in multiple space operations and space control-related fields, including but not limited to orbit dynamics, rendezvous and proximity operations, navigation, sensor employment, communications, and command and control
- Demonstrated System Engineering skills
- Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical engineering, math and/or physics
Education and Clearance
- US Citizenship
- Active TS and SCI eligible
- Willing to consent to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph examination
