Job Description
We are looking for a someone with a strong background in hotel/resort maintenance, has a passion for providing customer service, is highly motivated, and detail oriented to join our team as a The Chief Engineer. This individual provides oversight of the maintenance department and is responsible for ensuring the working order of all mechanical equipment as well as repair and maintenance of the property. The primary focus is on engineering operations, including maintenance, repair of hotel property, outside grounds, hotel equipment, preventative maintenance, and asset protection.
- Identifies needs, organizes staff and contractors, and oversees the completion of the maintenance needs.
- Works closely with different members of our team, requiring quick thinking and an engaging attitude.
- Leads a Maintenance program and team, enjoys making meaningful connections, and excels at problem-solving.
What are we looking for?
- Vocational or technical training preferred.
- Two years’ experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Universal refrigerant license.
- Ability to read wire and schematic diagrams.
- Ability to properly use an electrical meter.
- Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout duration of shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay
$90,000.00 - $100,000.00
