About the role

Join a diverse team of driven professionals who architect, design, develop, build, integrate, test, and support advanced airborne Electronic Warfare equipment. As part of our Electronic Combat Solutions Systems Engineering team, you’ll contribute to products and systems that enable service members to execute their missions and return home safely.

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture design and optimization activities, trades, and analyses.
• Ensure system design and implementation meet technical requirements, customer/mission needs, and allocated engineering cost and schedule.
• Verify system design is realizable, maintainable, supportable, and testable.
• Drive technical risk and opportunity definition, identification, and mitigation/realization.
• Serve as the primary technical interface to customers, Program Management Office (PMO), and executive leadership.
• Maintain extensive outside contact with customers, contractors, and government officials.
• Prepare and deliver customer and technical presentations.
• Understand requirements, missions, use cases, and constraints.
• Assess, mitigate, and close technical risks and issues, including impact assessment and minimization plans.

This role requires full-time, on-site work at a BAE Systems facility due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field with a minimum of:
  • 10+ years of experience with a BS
  • 8+ years of experience with an MS
  • 6+ years of experience with a PhD
• Active U.S. Government security clearance (with ability to obtain Top Secret).
• Experience leading development of Electronic Warfare, RADAR, Communications, and/or Missile systems.
• Proven technical leadership for a significant-sized team (e.g., Chief Engineer, Project Engineering Manager, or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline with 10+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Chief Engineer or equivalent leading Electronic Warfare systems development.
• Formal Root Cause and Corrective Action training or equivalent experience.
• Model-based systems engineering experience with tools such as MagicDraw.
• Active Top Secret U.S. security clearance, SCI eligible.
• Experience with Electronic Warfare and RADAR systems.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $149,603 – $254,317. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
