Skill Requirements

• Experience revitalizing ministry in changing environments
• Support inclusive ministry through Capernaum
• Relational depth and cultural awareness
• Ability to rebuild trust and momentum
• Strong leader development within large, high-performing schools
• Professionally engage in all three levels of contact work
• Lead or co-lead a model Young Life club
• Lead or co-lead an effective Campaigner ministry
• Develop and implement ongoing plans to maximize Gospel proclamation
• Actively engage in all three levels of contact work
• Develop and train leaders and drivers in the physical care of kids with disabilities
• Recruit and train new leaders to build leadership teams
• Train leaders, team leaders and committee how to work effectively in teams
• Provide quality summer staff, work crew and adult guests for summer camps
• Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners and camping to other leaders
• Effectively communicate the needs and successes of the local Capernaum ministry
• Adhere to all Young Life policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders and donors for area records
• Perform other duties as assigned and congruent with gifts, experience and area needs

Qualifications

• A vital, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Desire and proven ability to work with a team
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, adapt and be flexible
• Completed Core Training — Phase One
• Proven leadership skills
• Proven relational skills with both kids with disabilities and adults
• A call to reach kids with the Gospel
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Specific Working Conditions

Will include the extremes of a camp assignment, e.g., heat/cold, dirt, long hours and the physical demands of hiking, horseback riding, boating, etc. Staff person must be able to handle these conditions.
