Chemistry Lab Technician

About the role

The Schiffbauer complex fluids lab - affiliated with both CU Boulder and Colorado Mesa - carries out thermofluids and complex fluids/soft matter research on Colorado's Western Slope.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fabrication and characterization of samples
• Developing new synthesis protocols
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, or an equivalent

Skills

• Knowledge of basic chemistry and experimental measurement techniques
• Uncertainty quantification
• Laboratory safety
• Any knowledge of fluids and interfacial phenomena is considered a plus

Pay

$30.00 per hour, or up to $3000 for total project participation.

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits‑eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

Schedule

Up to 5 hours per week for 20 weeks on the Colorado Mesa University campus in Grand Junction, CO.
