Chemistry Lab Technician

This is a 9-month contract position located in Chanhassen, MN.

About the role

Operate, maintain, calibrate, and safety-check laboratory equipment. Perform mechanical, electrical, and thermal property testing of thermal interface materials and coatings. Conduct standard laboratory testing to support new product introductions and customer samples.

Responsibilities

• Follow established experimental protocols and maintain accurate laboratory records
• Collect, analyze, and enter data using Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools
• Prepare charts, tables, and summaries to communicate test results
• Support laboratory method standardization and harmonization
• Work safely with chemicals and laboratory equipment while following established safety protocols

Requirements

• 1-3 years of laboratory experience
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical/scientific field
• Basic laboratory or workshop experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow experimental procedures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and follow laboratory safety procedures
• Ability to stand and work in a laboratory for most of the day
• Strong willingness to learn and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Materials, or Chemical Engineering
• Experience with materials testing, thermal interface materials, or coatings
• Experience operating or maintaining laboratory testing equipment

Pay

$25.00–$30.00 per hour
