Job Summary
Job Title: Chemical Plater Processor
Reporting To: Manager, Technical Process
Schedule: Onsite – Christiansburg, VA
What You'll Need to Bring
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English
- Demonstrated ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Education or experience with chemicals or in a laboratory setting is a plus, but not required
- Quality-conscious, mechanical aptitude, and good dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
What You'll Do
- Technical tasks using process instructions
- Work some overtime, including weekends, as required
- Lead preparation immersion treatments and pre-plate operations
- Perform general maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks, such as attaching anodes, changing filters, etc.
- Work in an acidic, basic, and toxic environment
- Complete process and quality documentation
- Work with plating lab personnel to help with general tasks, such as pulling samples, plating coupons, filling water jugs, making chemical adds to baths, etc.
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Prepare quarterly silver reports, complete monthly material issue sheets, area checklists and logs
- Work in a safe manner following all safety protocols
- Immediately report any unsafe or potentially unsafe actions or situations

Salary Range
Christiansburg, VA: $16.00–$20.00 hourly
