Chef/Cook Full Time
The Chef position offers $24+/hour based on experience, with a pay period of 60-80 hours (open for discussion). Double pay is provided for recognized holidays.

Responsibilities
- Prepare recipes utilizing fresh ingredients to ensure a fine dining experience for residents and guests
- Participate directly in daily kitchen operations: cooking, serving, and cleaning under the direction of the Manager of Dining Services
- Work as a team with other kitchen staff, overlapping responsibilities to ensure exceptional service to residents and guests
- Prepare menus, originating from or approved by the Manager of Dining Services, in a healthful and beautifully presented manner
- Meet organizational and regulatory expectations, including sanitation, food preparation, menus, nutrition, and documentation
- Demonstrate skills in scratch cooking and action stations (omelets, stir fry, carving stations)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Must be 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Valid Food Services Sanitation Certificate or ability to pass course once employed
- Knowledge of multiple cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food control and food handling processes
- Skilled cooking test during second interview
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a cook/chef in a restaurant/senior living or equivalent cooking experience (preferred but not required)
- Certificate from an accredited culinary arts school (preferred)

The Chef ensures that high-quality culinary dishes are prepared and served to residents and guests in a timely manner. Our restaurant and café function similarly to a hotel or private club restaurant and/or café.
