About the role
As a Chef at The Waters of Eden Prairie, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our residents and guests. You will ensure high-quality dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner, reflecting our commitment to excellence. Your creativity will shine as you design healthful and beautifully presented menus, collaborating with the Manager of Dining Services for approval. Our restaurant and café operate with the ambience and standards of a hotel or private club, allowing you to showcase your skills in an inviting and elegant setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality dishes in a timely manner
- Design healthful and beautifully presented menus
- Collaborate with the Manager of Dining Services for menu approval
- Maintain high standards of safety and quality in food control and handling processes
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Valid Food Services Sanitation Certificate or ability to obtain one shortly after joining
- Restaurant experience required
- Experience in prep, sous, line, menu planning, and desserts
Skills
- Knowledge of multiple cooking techniques
- Understanding of food control and food handling processes
- Adaptability, creativity, and attention to detail
Pay
$21-$23 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule
- 5 days per week
- 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend off (rotation example: off Sunday & Thursday OR off Tuesday & Saturday)
