Chef - Clementine

About the role

We are seeking a Per Diem Chef to join the Clementine team, with the possibility of supporting other Monte Nido residential programs in the Westchester County area. This role prepares nourishing, well-balanced, and appealing meals for adolescents in a residential treatment program for eating disorders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nourishing, well-balanced, and appealing meals for clients.
• Facilitate and model normalized eating for our clients.
• Maintain kitchen and oversee work of food service staff.
• Collaborate with clinical team to meet nutritional needs in a holistic setting.
• Adapt and create individualized menu items.
• Order food and supplies needed for kitchen operations.

Requirements

• Significant cooking experience is important.
• Formal culinary training is highly desired.
• Friendly personality suited to a healthcare setting.
• Able to prepare dishes with desirable presentation.
• Flexibility, reliability, and responsibility are critical characteristics.
• ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record, as driving is a requirement of the job.

Pay

$29.00–$32.00/hour depending on education and experience.
