Charge RN - Weekend - Main OR

Role Overview: The Charge Nurse oversees patient care delivery, ensuring safety and efficiency through adherence to nursing processes and hospital policies. They direct nursing activities, delegate tasks to staff and auxiliary nurses, supervise clinical records, and assist with staff performance reports. The role includes managing bed assignments, resolving department issues, maintaining inventory standards for supplies and medications, and tracking narcotics. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN).Current RN licensure in the state or valid compact license.Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform movements like bending and reaching.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, or specialty certifications may be required based on department needs. Key Responsibilities Supervise nursing staff and auxiliary personnel.Ensure accurate maintenance of patient records and inventory management.Assist with bed assignments and address operational challenges.Maintain compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
