RN Charge Nurse - Weekend Option

About the role

The Charge Nurse oversees patient care delivery, ensuring safety and efficiency by utilizing the nursing process, hospital policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Directs nursing activities and delegates tasks to staff and auxiliary nurses
• Supervises clinical records and assists with staff and patient reports
• Manages bed assignments and maintains inventory standards for supplies, medicines, and equipment
• Tracks narcotics and medications
• Coordinates patient care across departments
• Evaluates caregiver effectiveness
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality
• Ensures safe, efficient patient care and resolves department issues in accordance with hospital standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years bedside experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate’s, Diploma, or BSN)
• Current RN licensure
• Certifications: AHA Healthcare Provider card, ACLS, and BLS
