About the role

Mercy is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) with experience in charge roles. Candidates should have graduated from a nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN) and possess a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report significant changes to healthcare providers.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and education.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
  • One or more of the following certifications: ACLS, ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, other unit-specific certifications.
  • Basic Life Support certification or completion of a course within 30 days of hire.
  • Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
  • The ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • The ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Qualifications

Experience in charge roles is preferred, but not required. A strong commitment to patient care and a desire to contribute to Mercy's mission are essential.
