About the role

The Charge Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care based on theoretical concepts and standards of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize nursing knowledge to deliver comprehensive patient care in a cardiac unit
  • Monitor telemetry, care for pacemakers and post-angiography patients, and manage medication drips
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards, maintaining high-quality patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient treatment and discharge planning

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Hold a current RN license in the state or via a compact licensure
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform tasks involving reaching, bending, and kneeling
