Responsibilities
- Assigning, directing, and evaluating nursing and support staff during shifts
- Assessing patient needs and developing care plans
- Collaborating with advanced practice providers to ensure optimal outcomes
- Monitoring and improving the effectiveness of patient care
- Responding to patient care concerns and assisting in staff development
- Maintaining a safe, alert work environment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent
- At least one year of registered nurse experience
- Current RN license in the applicable state
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications
- Additional certifications such as NRP, PALS, or equivalent depending on location
Skills
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform physical tasks frequently
- Proficient in using vision, hearing, and other senses for patient care
