Charge Registered Nurse - Stepdown / Critical Care

Role Overview: Provides leadership and coordination of nursing staff on a unit, ensuring quality patient care and clinical objectives are met. Key Responsibilities Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing/support staff during shifts; participates in performance evaluations.Assesses patient care needs, develops and distributes care assignments to ensure appropriate care delivery.Collaborates with advanced practice providers to achieve quality outcomes.Evaluates patient care effectiveness and addresses issues impacting outcomes.Responds to patient care complaints and manages through established channels.May contribute to hiring, training, and staff development.Performs other duties as assigned, maintaining safety and alertness. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.Minimum of one year registered nurse experience.Strong communication, leadership, and assessment skills. Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license in the applicable state, BLS Healthcare Provider, and either ALS, NRP, PALS, or NRP Essentials. Physical Requirements: Constant speech, standing, walking, frequent lifting (up to 25 lbs), sitting, reaching, visual and auditory acuity, with occasional heavier lifting, patient moving, bending, and driving.
