Charge Registered Nurse - Stepdown / Critical Care

About the role

This position involves providing leadership and coordination of nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care. You will assign, educate, and evaluate team members during shifts, assess patient needs, develop care assignments, and collaborate with advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop care assignments for nursing staff
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers to ensure effective care delivery
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and address any issues
• Participate in the hiring and development of nursing staff
• Ensure safety and respond to patient and staff concerns
• Perform other assigned tasks to support optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• At least one year of RN experience
• Current professional licenses and certifications, including BLS and ACLS or equivalent

Skills

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Excellent clinical judgment
• Physical stamina for duties such as walking, lifting, and patient movement
