Charge Nurse - Surgery Nights

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a high-acuity acute care setting within the surgery department. It requires utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and demonstrating proficiency through precepting new staff. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient wellness, and safety at the point of care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver top-of-scope nursing care and prioritize patient needs
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Support a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment
• Work on specialty units with moderate to high patient acuity
• Follow evidence-based care models and specialty certification standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Nursing degree from an accredited program
• Active RN license
• At least one year of nursing experience
• BLS certification
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required within three years of assuming the role

The role is onsite, with night shifts incentivized for additional compensation.
