About the Role
The Charge Nurse assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and providing direct/indirect nursing care to patients, families, and appropriate others under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director for the unit. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and educates other nursing personnel to provide and facilitate optimal health care outcomes in accordance with Manatee Health policies and procedures, standards and philosophy. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Plan and provide direct/indirect nursing care to patients and families
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary team members

- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN licensure in Florida
- Minimum of one (1) year of acute care experience required
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- BSN Preferred
- Current BLS through American Heart Association
- Current ACLS through American Heart Association
