Department and Units
- Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) – 23-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit
- 4A Unit – 12-bed adult behavioral health unit
- Emergency Department Psychiatric Pods (North Pod and West Pod)
- Two 6-bed units serving adults, adolescents, and children in acute psychiatric crisis
- Nursing staff are cross-trained across all areas
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as Charge Nurse RN during assigned night shifts
- Cook up staffing, patient flow, and unit operations
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric nursing assessments
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and structured care environment
- Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health providers, and care teams
Required Qualifications
- Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent formal education
- 1–3 years of RN experience (behavioral health or inpatient experience preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical specialty
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Behavioral Health nursing certification required within 3–5 years of hire
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
