Charge Nurse - Medical Telemetry

About the role

The Charge Nurse Med Tele is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a medical telemetry unit. They oversee daily operations, coordinate admissions and discharges, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admission, discharge, and throughput
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care quality
• Collaborate with management and staff to foster teamwork and improve outcomes
• Support patient-first initiatives and service recovery
• Participate in staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
• Manage supplies, equipment, and inventory
• Ensure quality patient care and promote a collaborative environment
• Support staff management and optimize unit efficiency

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within 30 days of employment)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (required within 30 days of employment)
