Charge Nurse - Medical Progressive Care

Role Summary

This position provides direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU environment, utilizing advanced nursing practices and evidence-based models such as the AACN's Synergy Model. The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, prioritizes patient wellness, and supports ongoing education and competency validation through clinical mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Deliver top-of-scope nursing care in a complex clinical setting.
• Support safety, quality, and patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.
• Precept and mentor new healthcare team members.
• Participate in specialty education and competency validation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with state RN licensure.
• Minimum 6 months ICU nursing experience or completion of a fellowship program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification, valid through sixty days of hire.
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and commitment to professional growth.
