Charge Nurse - ICU, Nights

About the role

This role involves coordinating and delivering high-quality nursing care across various patient populations, from birth through the lifecycle, while managing operational issues during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care as needed based on census demands
• Communicates patient and departmental concerns to leadership
• Serves as a resource and guide for staff
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
• Promote safety, ethical practice, diversity, and evidence-based care
• Lead, collaborate, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Ensure ongoing professional development and compliance with certification requirements within specified timeframes

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Bachelors preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year hospital nursing experience (2+ preferred)
• Licenses & Certifications: Active RN license, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, chemotherapy/biotherapy, NRP, and unit-specific certifications such as PEARS, ENPC, TNCC, and specialized certifications for pediatric, surgical, women's, or critical care units
