Charge Nurse - Cardiac PCU

About the role

The Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit Charge Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care for patients with acute and intermediate cardiac conditions, including heart failure management, post-transplant care, and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate patient care activities
• Develop and implement complex individualized care plans
• Utilize evidence-based practices
• Assess patient data to mitigate changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Promote patient satisfaction and safety
• Support clinical education
• Participate in practice improvement initiatives
• Serve as a resource to staff
• Facilitate safe patient care

Qualifications & Skills

• RN license
• 2-5 years of nursing experience (Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of experience preferred)
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Strong critical thinking, clinical expertise, and leadership abilities
