Charge Nurse PCU

Job Summary

You'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for your fellow nurses and support them in reaching their full potential.
• Support the operational goals and objectives of your department.
• Perform basic skills of all staff reporting to Charge Nurse during shift including telemetry, ACC, PCT/CNAs and RNs.
• Fills in as needed to support the clinical needs of the team.
• Mentors, coaches, and supports team members to meet patient and unit needs, gain skills, and effectively adapt to change.
• Rounds on staff and patients to ensure commitment and compliance with safety, quality, and satisfaction initiatives.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment.
• Hold team members accountable to the strategic vision of service, quality/safety, stewardship, and satisfaction.

Required Job Requirements

• Oregon RN License
• AHA BLS
• ACLS
• Two (2) years recent experience as an RN in PCU
• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Preferred BSN
• Previous Charge RN experience in PCU
• Critical RN Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/Acute
• PCCN

$59.22 - $80.35 /hour

Shift: 6:30pm - 7am
Core Schedule: Week 1 Thu, Fri, Sat; Week 2 Tue, Wed, Thu
