Charge Nurse

About the role

We are hiring part-time and full-time employees for LPN and RN positions at Five Counties nursing home in Lemmon, South Dakota. We take care of people who can no longer take care of themselves.

Responsibilities

• Care for residents in accordance with their individual needs and treatment plans
• Monitor and record vital signs and other health data
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Provide emotional and social support to residents
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of living areas

Requirements

• Current license to practice as an LPN or RN in South Dakota
• Experience working with elderly patients preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Passing scores on the NCLEX-RN exam

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Basic computer skills

Schedule

• Part-time: 20-40 hours per week
