About the role

The Robert E. Spiller Bowling Green Veterans Center is a 60-bed long-term care facility dedicated to serving Kentucky’s Veterans. They are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to work as a Charge Nurse in their nursing department.

Responsibilities

• Serve in the role of Charge Nurse and supervise professional and ancillary employees in the administration of efficient nursing care.
• Administer medications and treatments, as well as help meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our Veterans.
• Work within a team-centered environment to meet the center’s commitment to fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted status as a Registered Nurse on the KBN licensure verification.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• A bachelor's degree in nursing can substitute for one year of the required experience.
• Must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.

• Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.

Benefits

• Locality Premium - $10.62 per hour
• Shift Premium for Second and Third shift – 15%
• Weekend Premium – 25%
• Holiday Premium – 25%

Pay

• Salary: $31.81 hourly
• Locality Premium: $10.62 per hour
• Shift Premium for Second and Third shift: 15%
• Weekend Premium: 25%
• Holiday Premium: 25%

Schedule

• This position is considered 3rd shift.
