About the role
Mercy Convent seeks a compassionate and dependable LPN Charge Nurse to provide hands-on care and support to elderly retired Sisters.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care per care plan and physician orders
- Supervise and support caregivers during assigned shifts
- Complete assessments, vitals, documentation, and medication administration
- Respond promptly to Sisters’ needs and any changes in condition
- Maintain a safe, clean environment; follow all safety and infection-control protocols
- Communicate clearly with the Manager, team members, and Sisters
- Aid with admissions, transfers, incident reporting, and chart updates
Requirements
- Active LPN license
- BLS certification
- 2 years of nursing experience
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership abilities
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs and meet general physical demands
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
