About the role
We’re looking for a Components Liaison to support IFMA’s chapter, council and community leaders around the world. You’ll build strong relationships, provide guidance, coordinate leadership development opportunities and create resources that help volunteer leaders succeed.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted resource for component leaders.
- Build strong relationships through proactive communication, guidance and support.
- Anticipate component and volunteer leader needs and help develop resources and solutions to address them.
- Coach and guide component leaders through challenges, helping them identify solutions and strengthen their leadership skills.
- Assist with leader onboarding, training and ongoing development.
- Coordinate webinars, meetings, peer exchanges and leadership events.
- Provide guidance on policies, programs, governance and operational processes.
- Support compliance, recertification and documentation requirements.
- Develop and maintain communications, training resources and support materials.
- Identify trends, challenges and opportunities across components and recommend improvements based on leader feedback and organizational priorities.
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen component engagement, effectiveness and long-term success.
Requires travel, up to 10%.

- 3-5 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, member support, account management or a related field.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, CRM/database systems and virtual meeting platforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
