Chaplain: Spiritual Care - Night Shift - Per Diem
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides and coordinates the delivery of pastoral care and spiritual support to patients, their families, and staff.
- Makes spiritual interventions at times of crisis or death.
- Guides patients’ families and caregivers through spiritual and existential questions and concerns regarding death.
- Develops expert-level competencies that can be drawn upon to provide education and development opportunities for their colleagues and interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintains accurate documentation of patient visitations in the electronic health record.
- Available outside normal business hours for emergency response on-call coverage during weekdays and/or on weekends.
Qualifications
- Master of Divinity degree or equivalent from an accredited theological/faith-based institution.
- Four Units of Clinical Pastoral Education in a Hospital setting.
- Eligible for Board Certification by a recognized accredited organization within one year of start date.
- Ecclesiastical endorsement required.
- Experience in pastoral care and chaplaincy in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Board Certified Chaplain in good standing with a recognized and accredited organization preferred.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
