Chaplain

About the role

The Chaplain PRN provides spiritual care to patients, families, and staff of the hospital on an on-call basis. The chaplain works with patients and staff of all faiths and beliefs, and provides support and comfort primarily for end-of-life situations.

Position qualifications

• Master’s degree in divinity, theology, or a related field from an accredited seminary preferred
• 2+ years of experience in hospital chaplaincy or a related field preferred
• Pastoral experience is essential
• High school diploma is required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Commitment to providing non-judgmental, compassionate care

License / certifications

Certification with a national Chaplains network or association is preferred.
