Chaplain

About the role

Performs duties and responsibilities of a professional chaplain within the assigned areas and/or the various departments. Located at Richland Facility, Richland Hospital, Department of Spiritual Care & Education. This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct service and professional pastoral care to assigned clinical areas which includes availability to serve at least monthly in the On-Call Chaplain rotation.
• Works as Administrative Supervisor for CPE Students assigned to work in assigned clinical areas.
• Serves on interdisciplinary committees as assigned.
• Provides training and education pertaining to the nature and scope of Pastoral Care Services to members of the interdisciplinary treatment team and other employees.
• Serves as Adjunct Faculty for Clinical Pastoral Education program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Master's degree in Divinity or related field of study.
• Experience: One (1) year of experience acquired through completion of Chaplain Residency program at an ACPE, Inc. Accredited Center.
• Pastoral experience in a congregational setting – Preferred.
• Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses: Board Certified Eligible by the Association for Professional Chaplains (APC, Inc.); Board Certified Chaplain by the Association for Professional Chaplains (APC, Inc.) – Preferred; Licensed or ordained by faith/denominational group. If applicable, eligible for denominational endorsement to healthcare chaplaincy. When applicable, applicant must attach a signed letter from denominational endorsement official.

Skills

• Knowledge of office equipment.
• Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database, data entry).
