You’ll offer spiritual and pastoral support to residents, their families and our staff, respecting all faiths, beliefs and backgrounds, including those with no faith at all. The Role What You’ll Be Doing Providing one to one spiritual and pastoral support to residents in a way that suits their beliefs and wishesLeading regular services, prayers or reflective sessions, and marking key religious and cultural festivalsVisiting residents in hospital when they’re unwell to offer comfort and supportSupporting residents and families at the end of lifeOffering bereavement support to families, residents and staff, including leading or attending funeral services if requiredBeing available to staff who may need someone to talk to, particularly after a loss in the homeBuilding links with local churches, faith groups and community leaders so residents can stay connected to their faithWorking alongside the Wellbeing team to support residents’ emotional wellbeingKeeping appropriate records in line with home policies ‍ What We’re Looking For Experience in chaplaincy, pastoral care or a faith leadership roleAn inclusive approach and genuine respect for people of all faiths and noneA calm, compassionate manner and excellent listening skillsConfidence supporting people through difficult conversations, including end of life and griefExperience in a care, hospital or hospice setting is helpful but not essential ‍ This is a part-time position | 7 hours per week If you are ready to embark on a fulfilling career where you can truly make a difference, apply now and join our friendly team. ‍ To apply Please email your CV and cover letter to enquiries@ashberry.net with the subject line: "Engelberg Chaplain."
