Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and holistic spiritual care to residents.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nursing, life enrichment, allied health staff, and the corporate team.
• Conduct interfaith worship experiences, fostering a sense of community and shared faith with professional and ethical standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident information.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills when working or interacting with residents, their families, other providers, and staff members.
• Support the maintenance of spiritual care records as directed.
• Accept and perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience serving as a chaplain in a clinical or pastoral care environment.
• Board Certification as a chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains preferred but not required.
• Follow and adhere to organization, federal, and state regulations and guidelines, including Resident/Client rights.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to work as a member of the interdisciplinary group.
• Comfortable in an interfaith setting.
• Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.
• Ability to network with community clergy and congregations.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance, adhering to the dress code of the organization/program.
• Local travel required.

Physical Requirements

• Occasional twisting, reaches at shoulder height, reaches above or below shoulder height, and bending.
• Lifts and carries up to 25 lbs.
• 60% of the workday is spent sitting, 30% walking, and 10% standing.
• Adapts to frequent interruptions and changing situations.
