Changeover Crew | Part Time | Multi-Purpose Center (Virginia State University)

Responsibilities

• Set-up and tear down including: risers, staging, basketball floor, chairs, tables, pipe and drape and other items as needed for events at the facility.
• Handle folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery and skirting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• A demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Experience in public facility highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including long hours, overnight, weekends and holidays.

About the Venue

The Multi-Purpose Center at VSU is a state-of-the-art multipurpose venue located on the campus of Virginia State University, in South Chesterfield, VA. It can seat more than 6,000 guests and serves as a full entertainment facility hosting athletic events, commencements, live concerts, family shows, trade shows, and more.

Pay

The Changeover Crew staff member is paid an hourly rate of $15.00-$15.50.

Schedule

The role pays an hourly rate of $15.00-$15.50 and requires a flexible schedule including long hours, overnight, weekends and holidays.
