About the Venue

The Ford Wyoming Center is a 28,000-square-foot multi-purpose facility located in Casper, Wyoming. It was formerly known as the Casper Events Center and was renamed in January 2021. The center is situated on a hill overlooking the city, Casper Mountain, and the scenic Platte River Valley. Opened on April 17, 1982, funded entirely by the city's portion of an optional 1% sales tax, the venue hosts a variety of events including concerts, sporting events, family shows, trade shows, competitions, religious services, bull riding competitions, commencement ceremonies, lectures, and political rallies.

Responsibilities

• Keep the facility clean and sanitary.
• Operate and maintain all cleaning devices.
• Complete facility changeover as required by the event schedule and facility guidelines.
• Assist with emergency repairs to Arena equipment to ensure the success of a changeover.
• Perform craft services such as minor plumbing, minor electrical, minor carpentry, and painting.
• Make scheduled equipment rounds and log pertinent operating data.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with guests, vendors, staff, and other facility users.
• Reliable, honest, dependable, and punctual.
• Able to take directions and work with minimal supervision; a self-starter.
• Able to work in small and large groups to complete required tasks within time constraints and in a safe manner.
• Flexible schedule, mainly nights, weekends, and extra hours as needed, and work in variable weather conditions.
• Able to lift and carry heavy equipment & supplies on a regular basis.
• Knowledge of general tools necessary to perform changeovers in the arena.
• Knowledge of all cleaning supplies needed for sweeping, seat cleaning, floor care, restroom cleaning and disinfecting, and wall and glass cleaning.
