Overview

The Change Management COE Lead is responsible for establishing and driving AGCO's global change management strategy for a distributed workforce of ~25,000 employees. Reporting into HR, this role builds organizational change capability across moments that matter spanning the employee lifecycle, strengthens leader readiness to drive results through change, and ensures consistent, effective change execution across regions and business units.

Impact

  • Partner with senior leadership, HR, Communications, IT, and PMO to embed change principles early in planning and solution design.
  • Define and evolve the organization’s global change management strategy, ensuring alignment as required with our farmer-first AGvance strategy in relation to AGCO’s growth, transformation, and people initiatives.
  • Design and drive change strategies for complex, matrixed global initiatives, including financial restructures, operating model changes, global process modernization, and major technology implementations.
  • Establish change governance, standards, and methodologies that ensure consistent, high-quality adoption outcomes across diverse regions and teams.

Capability Building & Change Enablement

  • Build a scalable enterprise-wide capability for leading and managing change, with targeted development for leaders, managers, and employees across our offices and shop floors.
  • Design and deliver training, workshops, and learning programs that prepare leaders, managers, and employees to navigate large, complex transformation environments.
  • Create and continuously enhance a library of practical tools, templates, and assessments that support projects with varying levels of complexity and impact.
  • Coach leaders and project teams to strengthen change leadership and improve organizational readiness.

Tools, Templates & Methodologies

  • Develop and maintain standardized change management frameworks and tools that are adaptable for high-impact, cross-functional transformations.
  • Ensure tools and methodologies reflect global applicability and support cultural nuance across regions.
  • Promote adoption of COE resources and ensure tools remain modern, relevant, and user-friendly.
  • Lever technology to include AI and automation where practicable to support change management initiatives.

Change Advisory & Consultation

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner for enterprise transformation initiatives, advising on stakeholder engagement, communications, readiness, and long-term adoption strategies.
  • Conduct change impact assessments, risk analyses, and organizational readiness evaluations, especially for transformations involving multi-dimensional impacts.
  • Provide insights and recommendations that help senior leaders manage complex change across functions, geographies, and cultural contexts.

Tactical Change Planning and Operational Execution

  • Plan and execute operational change initiatives, ensuring changes are delivered on time, within scope, and with minimal business disruption.
  • Cook up cross-functional stakeholders to align change activities, timelines, and ownership.
  • Manage day-to-day execution of change plans, including process updates, operational readiness, and go-live support.
  • Track progress, adoption, and issues; escalate risks and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Support communication and engagement efforts to drive understanding and adoption at the operational level.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of change planning and execution practices.

Contractor Pool & Resource Management

  • Build and manage a pool of external change management contractors and internal “gig” resources who can be deployed on large transformation projects or business-driven initiatives.
  • Establish processes for intake, deployment, quality oversight, and ongoing performance management of contractors.
  • Ensure external partners align with enterprise methodology while bringing expertise suitable for large-scale operational and strategic change.
  • Maintain visibility into enterprise demand and forecast talent needs to support major programs.

Measurement, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Define KPIs and measurement frameworks for evaluating change effectiveness, adoption outcomes, and capability maturity.
  • Monitor organizational change trends, risks, and capacity across global functions and provide insights to HR and executive leadership.
  • Continuously refine the COE strategy, tools, and learning programs based on organizational feedback and evolving transformation needs.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience in change management, organizational transformation, organizational development, or related discipline.
  • Extensive experience designing and leading largescale, complex, global change initiatives with impacts across financial, people, process, technology, systems, and cultural domains.
  • Proven track record of building enterprise change capability and enabling leaders to drive high impact, sustainable change.
  • Demonstrated experience defining, forecasting, and managing financial resource needs and impacts related to change initiatives.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders.
  • Deep knowledge of recognized management methodologies and standards (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, ACMP).
  • Ability to operate effectively within a highly matrixed, global organization and collaborate across regions and functions.
  • Ability to move seamlessly between strategic thought leadership and hands-on execution.
  • Demonstrated capability to translate complex transformation efforts into clear, actionable strategies that drive understanding, engagement, and adoption.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing external consultants and/or contractor resource pools.
  • Background in HR, Global Change Management, Learning & Development, Leadership Development, Organizational Effectiveness, or Employee Experience.
  • Experience supporting major enterprise transformations, such as ERP implementations, operating model changes, digital transformations, or M&A integrations.
