About the role

The Research Associate will contribute to the research group's projects focusing on numerical structural analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with Prof. Alexander Düster.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in numerical methods for structural analysis
  • Develop and analyze computational models for complex engineering structures
  • Collaborate with other researchers and engineers on interdisciplinary projects
  • Write technical reports and present findings at conferences

Requirements

  • PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience with finite element methods and numerical simulations
  • Strong programming skills in relevant software (e.g., MATLAB, Python)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to conduct independent research
  • Interest in applying advanced mathematical techniques to engineering problems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
