About the role
The CFO will be responsible for day-to-day financial management, including overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing financial statements, conducting budget analysis, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. The CFO will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements
- Strong general ledger management
- Lead month-end close process
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Conduct budget analysis and journal entries
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Work with outside CPA firm on audits and taxes
- Work with banks on financing matters
- Provide financial management and reporting, including work with Medicaid
- Lead strategic financial planning, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Oversee audit and ethics functions
- Handle proprietary and confidential information with strict confidentiality
- Present financial report analysis and preparation oversight to Board or management in a clear and concise manner
- Serve as a resource to senior management, acting as an extension of the management team
- Actively engage organizationally
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Proficiency in financial software and systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively
- BA in Accounting required
- CPA designation a plus
Skills
- Strong banking relationships required
- Strong general ledger experience
